Synopsis: Issa, a 30-year-old African man holding a bag of eggs, gets on a busy tram in Sofia, Bulgaria. Seemingly unfriendly and rude, his only wish is to protect the eggs in his bag so that he can take them to his family that lives in a refugee camp. He goes as far as to almost pushing an elderly woman to take the free seat, repeating over and over to anyone who approaches to be careful, because there are eggs in the bag.

The courier from the internet boutique decides to save the sport shoe and offers to buy it for two hundred and fifty rubles as a joke.   Sudden easy money triggers the business spirit in the kids. And next thing you know they sell their father’s ski shoe to the courier.  To kill the time the courier plays along offering to buy the pair of the shoes. And after the box for it. The kids produce everything as if out of nowhere.  Who knows how everything would have turned out, if mom’s friend Olya, who was almost ready to snatch the dress from under their mom’s nose, hadn’t notice the disappearance of her new Louboutin shoes.   The deal between Silanty and the courier falls through. The furious mother shows her kids the other side of the slippery slope of the business game.  But each of them has their own toy in mind, and each wants to get what they want.

Sent to prison a couple of times Nete’s world is colourful but equally deceiving, slippery and dangerous. Despite her constant attempts to better herself, her friendship choices were not the wisest.

Overtime, it dawns on Jules that he is living in blissful ignorance, and his duty lies in rebuilding the real world, in its current, decrepit state.

Visions of the future are born that try to resist the mechanics of an ongoing historiography.  Does history become more tangible in a crisis? In a situation of uncertainty, is it easier to develop utopias during creative processes? Against the background of the perceived lack of opportunities, this group is struggling for answers – with very different strategies.

Synopsis: Freely inspired by the Valdrada story from Italo Calvino in the “Invisible Cities”, the video work aims to lead towards an emblematic reflection on the reality of the individual and his appearance. In the Calvinian tale, Marco Polo tells of a city located above a lake, named Valdrada, in whose reflection what happens inside the houses is reflected. The reflected image << now increases the value of things, now it denies it >>. From reading this suggestive text, the idea arises of representing, through digital means, a vision of the city of Valdrada detached from reality, leaving the viewer with a disorienting perception of what is observed. We immerse ourselves in the reflection of the lake that dresses the bodies of the dancers with light, blending with objects from a common interior. We will never see, if not for a moment, the real Valdrada. What is reflected on the screen is what you want to be seen, not what belongs to those bodies that move through the object pouring their limbs. Through their reflected image they shape and reconstruct their deep emotions and actions as they please. This feeling of disorientation wants to bring back the reflection of the use of the image of today. Ours is a society of the image, everyone creates a deceptive alter ego of themselves through ultra advanced devices and means. Our true perception of ourselves and of reality is projected into something else.
