Moscow Shorts

Three screenings were held in Moscow as part of the April Short Film Marathon!

On the first day, April 18, the creators of two Russian shorts came to visit us. The director of the film “Vasily. Poster. Druzhba” Sergey Moskvin shared how he implemented his project on his own, what difficulties he faced on the way to the Kamyshin and how the Kamyshin watermelon festival hindered the shooting.
Damir Miftakhov, the director of the film “The Kid” also came on the stage and answered the questions of the audience! He told us about the history of implementing his idea, about finding the right characters and actors who would be able to impersonate these characters. Also we found out how the film suddenly had three cameramen instead of one 🙂

On the second day, April 19, the creators of the film “bath” – director Roma Glova and actress Ksenia Guseva came on stage to our lecturer Lamara Karchava. They told how long the process of shooting the shortest film of the festival lasted, why they decided to shoot it on film and what was it like for the performer of the main role to be in cold water for several hours.

On the final third day, the producers of the “Bi-2 – We Don’t Need a Hero” music video Vitaly Kapitonov and Kirill Borisov came to us. They told us about the technical details and revealed the idea of the film, which is worth watching several times for clarity 🙂
Also on the stage came the creators of the film “I Used to Live Here” – director Asaad Abboud, producer Maria Danilova and cameraman Vladimir Klyuev. The audience was able to learn the details about the film from several professional perspectives. We discussed the idea, the shootings and the characters.
It was such a pleasure! Thanks to everyone who, at least for one evening, managed to join us.
