Moscow Shorts

The Moscow Shorts autumn short film marathon has come to an end in Moscow!

Over three days we watched 17 films from 10 countries and discussed them with festival lecturer Lamara Karchava. Also on the second and third day of screenings the creators of Russian shorts went up on the stage!

On 14 September the discussion started with the meeting with the creators of the film Dirty Art Hairdressing – art director Maria Weinstein and stylist, fashion producer and photographer Natalia Tashlykova! They shared subtleties of hairdressing, talked about its benefits and invited everyone to visit them in St. Petersburg.

Matvey Lashko, Alexander Plakhotin and Arseniy Pliev, the director, producer and sound designer of the animated film SKAZ: Sirin’s Song came to the screening on the 15th of September. They talked about what inspired them to create the film and how many years it took (a spoiler: 2.5 years!). It was a hard way for the animators, but the result is worth it!

Thanks to everyone who was with us these days! Time to switch on standby mode for new screening dates!
